Legalism
A type of government controlled by strict laws and rules. There was rewards for those who did good and punishments that made bad decisions.
Confucianism
Confucianism focused on the morals of superior people to those below them. The founder Confucius, saw that there was a lot of unbalance between classes and thought that peace would be acquired if everyone got along with each other. Education was very important to be better prepared as well.
Ban Zhao
Ban Zhao was a writer who wrote about Confucianism and women. She emphasized that girls should get the education that boys were getting, not so that they could be better than them, but so they are prepared and have knowledge for their husbands.
Daoism
This philosophy was focused on the importance that nature plays in people's lives. Education to them was not important and living a simple life was perfect, not knowing anything.
Vedas
The Vedas are the set of religious texts of the Indian religion, Hinduism. Prayers and rituals were included in them and they have helped historians today puzzle pieces of the Indian civilization.
Upanishads
The Upanishads are another set of religious texts that was done because of the disagreement with the Vedas. It was also more specific as to why the people had to what they did.
Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha)
The Buddha was a prince before he set out to teach what he had experienced. He sat under a tree for days, without eating or drinking anything and then he experienced what they call enlightenment.
Theravada/ Mahayana
The Theravada religion saw the Buddha as a perfect example to follow but to them he was not holy or divine. With this religion the people didn't follow certain things, instead it was a practice.
Mahayana was seen as a supernatural kind of religion, where spirits could help you and to them the Buddha was holy. With this, you had to do certain things in order to be able to go to their version of "heaven".

Bhagavad Gita
This was a very known and appreciated Hindu text. It said that even though you are not of great wealth or power you can still be born to something better in your afterlife. The fact that you did your duties without complaining means you earned yourself a better social position in rebirth.
Zoroastrianism
This religion depicted a single god that controlled every aspect of life. The god was Ahura Mazda, who was all up against the cosmic hardship.
Judaism
Taking some of Zoroastrianism and adding new things was the emergence of Judaism. It focused on one god and it flourished among a small group of people. They wrote their ways or traditions in the Old Testament.
Greek Rationalism
They didn't focus on the religious explanation to everything, instead the more practical and science way of things. Socrates, Democritus, Hippocrates, Plato, and Aristotle were some of the most important philosophers who provided explanations with science instead of religion.

Socrates was a philosopher who simply went to people randomly and questioned them. After that he would start to question them even more. His goal was to make them doubt what they thought was right and if what they believed was the right thing.
Plato created the perfect society. It was called The Republic, in which a educated king would be followed by highly educated guardians.
Aristotle was taught by Plato and he taught Alexander the Great. He is so famous because in almost everything he has to do with it form astronomy to physics and especially ethics.

Jesus of Nazareth
Jesus of Nazareth is connected to Christianity which time later would change the world. He was not born in the highest class and he experienced that beyond type of thing that inspired him to teach it to the people.He stood up for the poor and didn't get to do a lot of teaching because he was crucified.
Saint Paul
Saint Paul went town to town founding Christian communities. He said that in God's eyes your race or gender didn't matter to be part of God. His teachings let women be a part of church but they were not that free either.
